Luton Angling Club Weekly News Report for the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & St Neots Cambridgeshire Area - Week Ending 9th December 2018

 MEMBER RECEIVES A LIFE BAN

Luton Angling Club's disciplinary committee has this week given a life time ban to a member who was found so intoxicated at a venue he was unable to stand. He also thought it acceptable to verbally and physically abuse other club members who were fishing at the time. The club will not tolerate this type of behaviour and will deal severely with any one found transgressing the club rules.

BECKERINGS RESERVOIR
The water levels remain low at the reservoir and it probably won't be until Jan/Feb that the farmer is able to pump water back in but that is something completely out of our control. Jonathan (no surname supplied) caught a lovely common from the reservoir.

NORTH HOUSE LAKE
Ethan Griffiths caught 6 pike from North House Lake and said the only disappointment was the amount of rubbish he collected from around the lake. We can only hope that those leaving rubbish do us all a favour and don't re-join next season.

LAVENDON MILL
Our bailiff at Lavendon is concerned that members have been ignoring the signs and fishing in the power line affected areas on the downstream section as there are areas of trodden vegetation close to the power lines. The river may look inviting in these areas but for your own safety fishing close to power lines is strictly forbidden.

Bob Burdiak fished upstream at Lavendon Mill and had a good catch of quality roach and dace, alternating between float and caster and small feeder with an 8mm pellet or worm plus a few skimmers and perch on worm, then, into the afternoon a 6lb chub on the 8mm pellet.
