A reminder to any member wanting to night fish Beckerings or North house on 31st May must renew their membership before booking on. Any day anglers that have not renewed their membership should also vacate the venue by 9pm as we will be changing the locks. The current orange membership book expires on 31st May 2019. Guest anglers are now not permitted on any of our member only waters

BECKERINGS RESERVOIR
Jordan Drawbridge had a fantastic session with four stunning mirrors including the much sought after Half Lin at 30lb 7oz.

Adam DrzaƂ caught eight carp between 15lb and 23lb beating his pb twice in the process.

Jack Rose tempted three with the largest going 25lb 4oz

Tom Hazell a new pb 24lb 2oz mirror along with another three to 21lb 9oz

Mark Austin had a long lean 16lb lure caught pike,

Robert Barry Hall a 20lb 3oz mirror,

Daryl Vardy a 25lb 2oz common,

Gary Scott a 31lb 6oz catfish, proving once again that the venues catfish can be caught during the day unlike other waters when they mostly make an appearance at night.

Shane Ferdinando a stunning 29lb 9oz mirror on a 14mm pink fruit pop up

Gareth Evans a 19lb 12oz common,

NORTH HOUSE LAKE
Carlo Borromeo had a couple of hours to spare after work and managed a nice common

& Leon Bagenal banked The Wanderer at 28lb 12oz

GRAND UNION CANAL
An unusual Grand Union Canal capture for Tom Dawson while catching silvers. Looked like an F1 as seemingly has no barbels like a common would have?

KEMPSTON LAKE
While the carp at Kempston Lake are spawning heres a couple of Kempston carp captures to keep us going that were sent in by Jake Puffett a 16lb 13oz common from 27/3/19 & a 23lb 5oz mirror from 30/3/19

LITTER
We have been contacted AGAIN by the owner of Kempston regarding the increasing amount of litter being left around the lake. Any member found to be leaving litter will be banned for life from the club there is no excuse!!

WORK PARTY UPDATE
The work party at Eaton Ford on Saturday 18th May was rather sodden as it rained throughout.
Never the less 7 attendees got plenty done at this Luton AC owned venue.
The branch John wanted removing further up the venue proved not to be as straightforward as it appeared. It ended up in the river, only with sterling effort and determination did it end up on the bank cut up.
Some 70 yards of bank was transformed from a wilderness on the Thursday with swims cut out on Saturday.
The remaining stump was removed from the swim cut out on the Thursday.
Swims, pathways and car park were strimmed.
The locks have been changed to next seasons issue.
The next work party is at Biddenham on Sunday 2nd June starting at 9am and any members wishing to lend a hand would be most welcome.
The work will be to replace 3 platform pallets, strim, prune, mow and tidy up for the 16th.

LETS FISH THREE LOCKS 18/5/19
The Lets Fish event at the Three Locks on the Grand Union Canal was well attended with over 50 participants despite the rain with most catching at least one fish and many certificates issued.
Apologies if we miss anyone but an official report has yet to be received here in the press office but we know thanks go out to the Wellingborough coaches Pat Byrne & Bryan Dray, who kindly came down from Wellingborough, Myles, Mark and Dennis along with John Ellis and John Morris on the desk and not forgetting our bait sponsor Browns Angling in Leighton Buzzard. Much appreciated everyone!

25/5/2019 KEMPSTON LAKE COMBINATION LOCK

 KEMPSTON LAKE COMBINATION LOCK

The lock which was vandalised on Thursday has been replaced with the combination staying the same but instead of being central as most would expect the combination works 1 row up we've been told by our club Secretary this afternoon.
In the photo example below 111 (thats not the Kempston code btw) is the code position rather than 000 if that makes sense!!
