MATCH RESULTS
Abbey Lads fished Town South but found the going patchy when a boat put the fish off after a good start. One of the matchmen hooked something very big which just swam away stretching the elastic until the hook straightened!

Hanwell fished Grove Marina on a very windy day last Sunday. The best weights tended to be at the pub end of the marina, although good stamp bream were caught half way along. The best weight was 14lb of mainly bream and skimmers, followed by 11-7-0 and so on down to the poor soul with a catch of 8oz!

Queen’s Works A.C fished their 6th Winter League match on The GUC near The Globe pub last Sunday. All 17 anglers struggled for bites but Vince Baron won the day with 3lb of roach just ahead of Andy Dilley on the next peg who had 2lb 13oz. Steve Cooper was 3rd with 2lb 3oz. Stuart Kiteley won the first section with 1lb 11oz and the second section was shared by Steve Dunham and Mark Ellis with 1lb 10oz a piece. Steve Townsend won the prize for the biggest fish with a perch of 1lb 8oz which was the only fish he caught! The Wooden Spoon was presented to Richard Newman who finished last with 3oz! With only 3 matches remaining, Steve Dunham tops the table being 7 points ahead of Stuart Kiteley and Dave Pearson.
