GRAND UNION CANAL
The volunteers from the Inland Waterways Association were hard at work last Friday and Saturday with their annual clearing of rubbish dumped in the canal. Whilst most of us use the normal routes for disposing of our waste there are those in society who think its ok to use the canal. The photo shows just one of the boats used over the 2 days parked at the Grove Pub. Many thanks from Luton AC to the MK branch of the IWA for their continued hard work which is greatly appreciated.

Luton AC are taking part in the Take a Friend Fishing week which runs from 22nd October through to 30th October. Its actually 8 days and started on Saturday and finishes on Sunday 30th October.
The event location is the Grand Union Canal from the Leighton Buzzard town side below the Grove Lock pub right through the town to the Globe pub side of the pub access bridge.
Anyone fishing between those points age under 18 (please carry proof of age)can fish for free and there is 2 for 1 on all other day tickets. Please remember that a valid rod licence will still be required for those age 12 and over.
