Luton Angling Club Weekly News Report 23rd July 2017

Catch reports from a variety of waters this week

SOUTH LAGOON
Pawel Ceks managed a 16lb common and 20lb of skimmers & bream from the Lagoon

NORTH HOUSE LAKE
Ian Aldridge tempted commons of 24lb & 22lb 8oz, Lee Moore a 22lb 4oz common, Filip Dunaj a mid double common and Adrian Jaworski a 20lb common.

KEMPSTON LAKE
Luke Marvin landed a 20lb+ mirror and an upper double common

RIVER GREAT OUSE
On the Ouse at Wyboston Wojciech Dunaj lure fished catching several perch and pike before one particularly big pike managed to snap his rod in two. Estimated at over 25lb the pike managed to then throw the lure.

BECKERINGS RESERVOIR
Connor Brown banked a 20lb 2oz mirror

Lots more good work from 9 volunteers on Saturday at the club owned River Great Ouse Biddenham venue. Invasive rushes and lillies were removed from swims along with many willow branches. Our Biddenham venue has over 40 swims from deep and wide to narrower and faster flowing being a firm favourite with visiting match groups.
