Luton Angling Club Weekly News Report for the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & St Neots Cambridgeshire Area - Week Ending 4th February 2018

 TREE DOWN!!

Throughout the year the club have to deal with a number of fallen or dangerous trees. One came down at Eaton Ford on our Ouse fishery this week and was swiftly dealt with by our bailiff there. Thanks Stewart!!
We cant have eyes everywhere though 24/7 so do rely on our members to let us know of any fallen or dangerous trees they see on our waters.
Keep up the good reporting and stay safe everyone.
Thanks

THE MERE
Message received from VAC
Next week, the bank on the main bowl of the Mere will have to be closed as bank re-enforcement work will be taking place. The little two car parking area will be closed for materials delivery. There are some notices already up on site and we hope that it doesn't cause too much inconvenience.

BECKERINGS RESERVOIR
Luke Marvin continues his good run of form at Beckerings with four carp to upper doubles on Thripster Baits.

As the reservoir is being refilled our reservoir bailiff team have been in touch to ask members to make themselves aware of the rules regarding the perimeter path around the reservoir which must be left clear at all times. Rule 3 page 10 of your membership book refers which is a stipulation of our lease. Thank you.

RIVER GREAT OUSE BIDDENHAM
Fergal O'Kane is becoming something of an expert at catching the Biddenham pike while the river is pushing through and added another two to his tally although slightly disappointed he says not to have caught one of the venues larger residents.

WOODLANDS
We don't get many catch reports from Woodlands so thanks to Graham Crow for reporting that he landed five carp to 10.5lb

COACHING
On Saturday some of our coaching team are travelling to Foxton on the Grand Union Canal to help out with a coaching day and we hope to have a report and some photos to share with you.
