Luton Angling Club Weekly News Report for the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & St Neots Cambridgeshire Area - Week Ending 23rd September 2018

Another busy week on Luton AC controlled waters.

WYBOSTON TRACK REPAIRS
A good year for the club has meant that we were able to invest a considerable sum into repairs on the Wyboston track and the work took place on Saturday with heavy plant making a good job of it. Its vitally important that members do not speed along the track as that will simply cut it up very quickly and we will be back to large potholes and spending more members money. This will mean not carrying out work and stocking elsewhere unless subs are increased substantially so do please drive slowly and report anyone seen driving too fast to one of our bailiffs with a description of the car/van and the reg if possible.

NORTH HOUSE LAKE
Graeme Gadsby had a red letter day banking seven carp to 31lb with the largest being the much sought after common known as Shadow.

Adrian Jaworski also fished North House and was rewarded with a 27lb 5oz common.

GREAT OUSE
Marek Zanko landed a decent pike and also had perch to over 2lb on the Ouse at Wyboston.

Also on an undisclosed part of the river Filip Dunaj caught a 5lb 8oz chub along with carp of 19lb 11oz and 18lb 3oz.

John Morris was fishing the Ouse at Biddenham catching some nice size perch with Dave Murdoch having decent roach.

GRAND UNION CANAL
Tim Grover had a repeat capture but wasn't complaining as it was the mirror known as Two Tone at 24lb 12oz.

This summers great weather has produced an abundance of fry along the canal with many thousands of roach being seen below the Three Locks this week. Hopefully many will survive to maturity and add to the excellent canal fishing anglers are currently experiencing.
