Luton Angling Club Weekly News Report for the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & St Neots Cambridgeshire Area - Week Ending 28th October 2018

BECKERINGS RESERVOIR

Junior member Alex Lovell caught a 20lb 5oz pike known as yellow spot from Beckerings Reservoir last Sunday. Alex was fishing dead bait close in the weeds and this is the largest pike caught by a junior this season.

GRAND UNION CANAL
The canal is still fishing well for carp between Grove & Ivinghoe despite the drop in temperature. Now is the perfect time to go after the carp with the boat traffic dropping off. As with a lot of waters keep the bait going in and the carp will feed all winter.

MATCH RESULT
Enfield Highway fished the Grand Union Canal at Bragenham Side (Dolphin Lane) on Sunday 21st October
1st R Reeves 11lb 8oz skimmers & perch
2nd A Brett 5lb 10oz skimmers
3rd B Keens 4lb 12oz skimmers

This week the disciplinary team has given a six month ban to a member for leaving his rods unattended. This member also thought it acceptable to leave a large amount of litter which the bailiff had to clear away. This type of behaviour will not be tolerated and any infraction of the club rules will dealt with accordingly.
