MATCH RESULT
Despite last Sundays scorching temperatures the latest round of the Southern Canal League fished on the Grand Union Canal between Grove & Ivinghoe produced plenty of good weights.
Skimmers showed at Slapton and top weight there was 34lb with a couple of weights around 16lb and some other double figure weights.
Grove was tough but fair with 8lb winning the early pegged section.
Ivinghoe where no decent bream showed but was solid with roach and 6 in a line all had double figures then lots of 7-9lb weights throughout the three sections there.
Michael Wilkins had the day before reported several massive 1000+ 3-4 inch roach shoals further along section 9b at Grove which wasn't pegged on Sunday so all looking good for future matches.

FISHERIES UPDATE
Our qualified chainsaw team were in action again over the last week clearing a couple more large fallen trees from the Ouse at Wyboston that had come down in the gales a couple of weeks ago. Many thanks as always for their continued help keeping our venues in top condition.
