Luton Angling Club Weekly News Report for the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & St Neots Cambridgeshire Area. Week Ending 28th June 2020

WEDNESDAY KNOCK UP MATCH

The Wednesday Knock Up match this week was at The River Ouse at Wyboston here is Dennis Hunt's report from the day...

"We had a cracking day out today with everyone enjoying themselves. Five fished including Dean Beach a St Neots angler who purchased a day ticket to fish with us.  We had arrived at Wyboston to find the river looking in perfect shape with good colour and nice flow, so expectations were high on what was obviously going to be a hot, bright day.  I personally had a slow start spending a biteless first hour on a feeder before switching to a 6 No5 stick float down the edge fishing hemp which proved to be a successful tactic.  Others either stuck to the feeder or switched between feeder and float throughout the day Dean had a nice chunky Bream, Naula Grey suffered with pike and Barry Roper hooked a huge fish that bent his rod double before eventually breaking him"
