Night Fishing/Fishing after Dark on Beckerings Reservoir and North House Lake.
it has come to our attention that members are fishing into darkness without booking on. If you intend to fish after sunset or arrive before sunrise at Beckerings/North House Lake you must book on using the process detailed in your membership book on the Night Fishing page.
Wyboston River Ouse
Paul Wilkie fished the Wyboston stretch of the River Ouse on Thursday. It was very slow going but the wait was well worth it as he eventually had this cracking 5lb Chub.

Ben Waymont caught an 8lb Pike during a short session.

Brian Turner had a bit of a cold one on South Lagoon Saturday night fishing for the Predators. He woke up to a very frosty morning with a good layer of frost covering his tackle.

Beckerings Reservoir
Warren Griffiths braved the windy conditions at the reservoir this week and fishing in the margins on a helicopter rig fished with a Baitworks Atlantic Heat wafter fished over a handful of pellet and innovate bait The Fix had this cracking 27lb 7oz common.

Match Report 22nd November 2023 Grand Union Canal Town South
This week the Wednesday match was to be held at Eaton Ford, but the recent rain had led to slippery banks and a very swollen river, so this week we fished an alternate venue on the Canal instead.
The temperature climbed slowly to a high of around 10C at midday, before starting to fall again as the afternoon drew on.
The Canal had good colour, but was very full, with a midday temperature of 9C, and due to the rain had a slight flow due to the amount of water discharging from the canal via the overflows.
We had a couple of boats during our match, but both passed us with little disturbance.
Today wasn’t easy for anyone, and weights were quite low for this venue, which usually produces bigger bream. Tim Watts our winner, was delighted when he drew what he thought would be a bream peg. He attacked it for them from the off but it never happened, and unbeknown to him, no Bream were to be caught by anyone else during the match. Tim was getting small roach, but as these don’t usually produce winning weights if the bream show, he initially tried bigger baits to avoid them. This turned out to be a tactical error today, so he eventually went for the roach and got run of better fish with 20 mins to go. Tim ended with 90 Roach for 6lb and took his fish using punch and pinkie as hookbait.
Dudley Frankland fished the bottom of the far shelf feeding chop worm and caster. Dudley took a few bigger Perch using worm hook bait to end with 5lb 8oz.
Dennis Hunt started feeding liquidised bread and toasted crumb at the bottom of the inside shelf at 4 metres and fed a far swim at 11 metres with groundbait and pinkie. Starting on the inside he took roach steadily all day, the far swim failing to produce, ending with 86 roach for 4lb 7oz.
