Luton Angling Club Weekly News Report for the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & St Neots Cambridgeshire Area - Week Ending 3rd November 2019

BECKERINGS

Chay Pinnock caught the Half Lin at Beckerings. This was out mid-September at 33lb 6oz. Chay weighed it at 35lb 4oz.

Carl Clark had great session with six fish - a 26lb 14oz common, another two commons at 21lb & 14lb and a mirror at 16lb with two others at around 15lb and all taken over 2kg of boillies.




Lee Mustafa caught a beautiful mirror at 21lb 3oz.

Jack Rose caught three commons up to the low 20s. 



Tom Harris caught a small pike during the night.

Filip Dunaj caught the pike known as Yellow Spot from Beckerings. This is the 4th time Filip has caught this fish over the last few years.

Wojciech caught Yellow Spot at 20lb 4 oz only 12 hours after Filip Dunaj.

Jack Rose caught a very nice upper double mirror. 


SOUTH LAGOON
Stacey Collins caught her first ever pike at 4lb and partner Dean Brittain caught one at 4lb 7oz. They started off trying dead mackerel at South Lagoon without a bite then switched to lures

Krzysiek caught a good sized pike.

GREAT OUSE
Brad Pearson caught 5 pike up to 16lb.




Marek Zanko had 4 jack pike and a 2lb 6oz perch from the Wyboston complex.




OVER 55s
The over 55s will be at Wyboston on the River Ouse this coming Wednesday. Anyone wanting to join them are very welcome to do so.  Non-members can buy a day ticket on the day and fish with them.  The draw for walk off is at ‪9am‬ at the end of the track to the river with fishing from 10am till 3pm. There’s an optional £5 pools.


GRAND UNION CANAL
After a spirited fight, Derren Burr of Browns Angling Leighton Buzzard caught a fantastic 2lb 14oz perch.


MONTHLY PHOTO COMPETITION
Brad Pearson has won the £25 October photo competition with a superb 16lb pike on session at the Great Ouse where he caught 5 in total.
