 BECKERINGS

Gareth Evans caught a decent sized pike.

SOUTH LAGOON
Dariusz Blahuta caught some nice looking pike.

Simon Heath sent through some great pictures of Zander and the lake itself.

GRAND UNION CANAL
Abbey Lads fished the Grand Union Canal at Grove Marina. Although not fishing as well as usual, the results were respectable with mainly skimmers and a few decent bream making up the weights. Results below:
L Willis 13-1
D Whillock 11-8-8
K ward 11-5-0 ( 3-1 perch)
P Deppe 6-6
S deppe 5-1
D Smith 3-15

The Over 55s
Fished the GUC and on a bright but sometimes chilly day which started with an overnight frost. The river was high with a good flow which increased slightly during the day. There were plenty of fish, but they struggled to hit the bites which could be very finicky. Some good fish were lost during the course of the day, a nice Chub being lost at the net by John Gray and another fish which wasn’t seen taking elastic from Naula till it bottomed out and the line parted. They were also troubled on occasion by Pike.  Barry Roper had 7Lbs ½ oz including a Perch of 1lbs 15oz, Dennis Hunt 1Lb 15oz, Naula Gray 1lbs 9 oz. John Gray 15oz.

WORK PARTY UPDATE
New peg numbers have been fitted on the platforms at Beckerings by bailiff Mark Sessions.
