Beckerings Reservoir
Neil Cox popped down to the reservoir for a few hours and he is glad he did. He managed another pB catching the stunning "Half Lin" at 36lb 3oz. He caught her tight in the margins on Madbaitz Nutz and at one point weeded him up but steady pressure got her out.

Weds Match Report
Match Report Wednesday 28th April South Lagoon Wyboston
John Gray had a day of mixed fortune on a moody day at South Lagoon on Wednesday this week. We had arrived to find a light breeze with an air and water temperature of 12C, so he as did others set up a Pole with some opting to fish a feeder from the off.
During the morning, the wind rose considerably and backed so it was now blowing directly towards the anglers.
Several of us lost pole rigs and tangled feeders in the vegetation while the wind rose, and large waves appeared on the lake, making tackle control and bite recognition extremely difficult.
After not tempting a bite for the first hour John finally managed to contact some fish, when towards midday a sudden extraordinarily strong gust snapped his pole No 4 section in half, forcing a change to feeder tactics so he could continue.
John however was on a roll and continued to catch on the feeder, tempting a bream and skimmers on worm.
Nuala Gray lost what was believed to be a decent Tench when she was smashed on the Pole line, and others were frustrated struggling to see bites in the wind, which abated slightly during the afternoon.
At the end of a challenging day despite his troubles John weighed in 4lbs 8oz to win, and behind John weights were close for the remaining places.
1st John Gray
4lb 8oz
2nd Dudley Frankland
2lb 15oz

4th Naula Gray

Next week The group will fish the canal Town South Leighton Buzzard, meet for 9 am draw, £5.00 optional pools non members welcome to join in by purchasing a day ticket.

That's all for this week
