South Lagoon Wyboston
A surprising catch for Martin Scholes while fishing using sweetcorn as his hookbait, He was convinced he had hooked a Tench or a Carp so was very surprised when this 9lb 10oz Zander arrived at his net.
Beckerings Reservoir
Kevin Miller had 5 Bream totalling 42lb caught on fluoro maggots and ground bait feeder.

On a mostly gloomy and windy Monday at Beckerings which was spent dodging heavy rain showers a new PB bream of 8lb 12oz brightened up Dennis Hunt's day. The fish was taken at 30 metres on 3 red maggots.

Bailiff Mark was very happy after catching a 6lb 1oz Beckerings Tench on float fished caster with a size 16 hook and 3lb mainline. He also had an 8lb Bream and a few Perch over a pound.

Amer Jawad had a tough session but managed to catch a cracking roach of 1lb 6oz on the pole and two nice bream on the feeder.

Wednesday Match Report 12 May 2021
It was a great Turnout this week as twelve members of the Wednesday group met at Three locks on a morning that started bright and fine with light winds, and the birds were singing in the trees. However, we had some cloud towards lunchtime and just to remind us it was Wednesday we had a rain shower soon after!
With the water temperatures now warming to a heady 14C this week we had high hopes the Roach and Bream would show, but this didn’t materialise.
Most had a slow first hour, struggling to find fish on the inside lines while feeding over, but the inside failed to produce fish in any quantity. Most then decided to concentrate the attack on mid track to far shelf lines with better results, those that had worm fed choppie and had some success with largish Perch, fishing worm sections on the hook after doing so, others taking fish on red maggot. Apart from the odd Skimmer the expected Bream failed to show.
Richard Gibbs had a fantastic sail away bite on a Lobworm section, and was convinced he had a Perch, only to find out at the net it was a small Pike!
A good day out enjoyed by all, with some excellent Banter between those attending
