North House Lake
Fergal O' Kane visited North House Lake with his target being Tench, After a few missed bites and hook pulls he did get a Tench which wasn't weighed but was estimated at around 3lb as you can see it was somewhat dwarfed by the 50 inch landing net.

CRT ‘Lets Fish’ Town South Sunday 30th April.
Our Club coaches held the first and very successful public ‘Lets Fish’ event in Leighton Buzzard on Town South this week with all the available slots for our taster session filled.
There was a good mixture of younger boys and girls with Mums and Dads and adults all having a go, all really enjoying themselves and catching good fish, although due to inexperience several larger specimens were unfortunately lost.
At the end of our hour-long sessions many of our novice anglers were happily hooking Pinkies, spotting bites, playing, landing and unhooking fish, and expressing a desire to get their own tackle, join the club as Juniors and learn more, perhaps going on to compete at the CRT Celebration in Shropshire later this year.
We have another public Lets Fish event at Slapton next week and are sure it will be as successful.
Details of all upcoming Canal and River Trust let's fish events held across the country can be found on the eventbrite website.
If any club member is interested in undertaking the formal qualifications and checks required to become a volunteer and coach with us, please get in touch.

Match Report Wednesday 26th April Luton / Wellingborough inter Club Three Locks.
This week we were pleased to entertain our good friends from Wellingborough to a friendly inter club fixture at Three Locks.
We had 21 anglers fishing and decided to split the match into two sections of 11 pegs, above and below Three Lock flight.
The Canal was holding good colour, but the water temperature at 9C was lower than recent weeks, resulting in some challenging fishing. Boat traffic was light and spread throughout the day.
Overall winner this week was Chris Howard on B section (above) who had the rarest of fish in a Luton Canal section, a Tench of 2 ½lbs in his bag! He also had a good bag of bream and some big perch, losing another big perch which snagged him in a tree, resulting in a lost top section of his pole. Chris finished with 13lb 5oz.
Ivor Stokes the Wellingborough Chairman took the honours on A section (below) with 10lb 7oz. Ivor fished three pole lines, nearside middle and over, rotating between the three to keep fish coming all day.
Richard Darbon who fished a small feeder on A section, weighed 9lb 4oz for third overall.
Sean Leatherland on B section hooked a Carp which took off aggressively down the cut. Sean did well and stopped the first run, but then the fish decided to take off again and having only light canal elastics in his pole, they very soon parted company!
The Canal bream are coming into spawning condition now, many exhibiting the nodular tubercles on head and back now.
The overall result (top 5 weights) was In Luton’s favour 40lb 10oz against Wellingborough’s 27lb 4oz, so its honours even as we lost when we fished on their water earlier in the year.
