Liam Murphy had a couple of fish on Sunday. They were caught off the bottom on manilla active. He sends thanks to Neil the bailiff for helping him with the mirror as it went like a torpedo straight into the middle of the pads but with a bit of teamwork they safely got her out, He also had a lovely tench about 4 or 5 lb.
Wednesday Match Report - 13th September 2023 South Lagoon at Wyboston
9 anglers turned out for this week's Wednesday match on South Lagoon at Wyboston. A lovely venue and special mention to the bailiffs and volunteers who do a fantastic job on managing both the lakes and river.
Sean Leatherland on peg 8 was 2nd in the match and kept his tactics simple by fishing waggler all day around 5 rods length out to catch a mostly skimmer net on single maggot.
Richard Gibbs on peg 3 was third thanks in part to a beautiful 4lb 4ozs tench in his catch. Richard fished groundbait feeder about 30 yards out with caster and maggots, and in addition to the tench, his catch was made up of skimmers and small roach
